Submissions

At The Literary Firm, we welcome submissions across a diverse spectrum of genres, encompassing both fiction and non-fiction. From captivating memoirs and insightful biographies to imaginative science fiction and mesmerizing fantasy, we embrace a wide array of literary styles and themes. Our dedicated editorial team diligently undertakes a thorough and thoughtful review of each submission, regardless of its tone, content, or subject matter – be it controversial or explicit, childlike or vibrant.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

We actively seek the finest works in commercial and literary fiction and nonfiction.

For fiction submissions, kindly include a well-crafted query letter and the initial ten sample pages of your manuscript in the email body. Regarding nonfiction, a polished query letter will suffice, and if we express interest, we’ll request a proposal. Please avoid attaching files unless we specifically ask for additional materials.

Ensure that the subject line of your email contains either “query” or “submission,” and kindly submit one project at a time unless otherwise specified. If we request further material, please send it as a word document or PDF attachment.

While The Literary Firm represents a broad range of fiction and nonfiction, we do not handle picture poetry submissions.

We value every submission, but due to the high volume we receive, we cannot respond individually to each query. If we find your submission intriguing, we will reach out to you as promptly as possible. Rest assured, each submission is thoughtfully evaluated, and our response time typically ranges from six to eight weeks.

Presently, we solely accept electronic queries sent to the designated query email addresses of each agent, which you can find on their respective pages below. We do not entertain paper queries or queries made over the phone.

Thank you for considering us for your project, and we eagerly await the opportunity to review your work.
