Nicole Anderson embarked on her professional journey at InStyle magazine, initially contributing in an editorial capacity, and later delving into the realm of advertising copywriting. With a span of over five years, she operated as an independent literary agent, skillfully conceiving and facilitating book deals with prominent publishers. Her enthusiasm lies in impactful prose and captivating sentences. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from The New School, where she honed her craft under the tutelage of renowned authors in both fiction and nonfiction. Her academic foundation includes a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. During her leisure time, she co-curates the well-received H.I.P. Lit event series.
Currently, her focus is on seeking out compelling, character-rich literary fiction encompassing dynamic plots, spanning from unconventional family sagas to narratives featuring diverse casts. She’s also on the lookout for absorbing beach reads, rom-coms infused with unique twists, and commercial fiction that commands attention. Furthermore, she displays a keen interest in nonfiction works by authoritative figures and influential individuals, spanning lifestyle, well-being, memoirs, political discourse, investigative reporting, and research-oriented narrative nonfiction.
